It seems like we’ve been in a pandemic a very long time, and just when we start to lighten up we discover the number of unvaccinated make the lightness a temporary feeling. We are far from being okay on the planet.
What is Mental Health? Mental Health includes our emotional, psychological and social well-being. It is also how we think, feel, and act, how we handle stress, make choices, relate to others, mental health is all of this. Are you taking good care of yours?
Mental Health has become very popular. What do you think of the “very popular”??? I personally think “popular” is not for mental health.
How do you handle your mental health? Gardening, tennis, outdoor time, cooking, writing and waving to people is how we can still feel a part of GOOD that does still exist. Meditation and coming to the present moment is always good. The pandemic has brought a new common ground to the feeling of anxiety. There is a simmering pot on the stove that could boil over or run dry and burn up the pan! We are here to keep watch on the pot. Anxiety says “Keep checking the POT!!”
Your higher self says: “Stay in the present moment. Breathe. Inhale. Take a nice long inhale breath and pause. Slow down. Just a short pause, bring your attention to your breath. Then with control allow the the body to relax, lungs, diaphragm and total Self will exhale in a very paced way to start again another inhale round. Breathe. Listen. Feel. Let it go. Stay Present. Everything is ok in the present moment.”
Counseling and Therapy helps us, individuals take care of our mental health. We do not need to have a severe clinical disorder to have a need to check our mental health. It is important for each of us on the planet to have self checks so that you feel/know you are okay. A person close to you can also be a good check to know your baseline and to be honest with you if it seems you are not doing as well as usual. Make sure you have some self-checks in place. Who is your person who knows your baseline? Are you in close touch? Stay close. Stay close to your Self as well. Treat yourself well with kindness and compassion. Stay present. Everything is neutral in this moment.
